We help you find
better software
Independent reviews, honest comparisons, and expert-curated alternatives — so you can make confident software decisions without wading through marketing copy.
Cut through the noise
Software buying decisions are harder than they should be. Marketing sites list every feature as "best in class." Paid review sites rank whoever writes the biggest check. G2 and Capterra aggregate thousands of unverified reviews that often say more about the review incentive than the product.
Kreemhunt does something different: we pick a small number of tools in each category, use them ourselves, and write detailed reviews based on real-world experience. We explain who each tool is for, who it is not for, and what the honest trade-offs are. We update every review annually so the information stays current.
When a tool has an affiliate program, we participate — it helps keep the site running at no cost to you. But our editorial positions are never for sale. A tool that gets a poor review from us would not appear any better with a paid arrangement, and we make that clear in our affiliate disclosure.
How we review
We use the tools
Every tool reviewed on Kreemhunt is used directly — not assessed from a marketing page or press release. We test free tiers, paid tiers, and document what actually works versus what the feature list promises.
We cite our sources
Claims about pricing, features, and specifications are verified against official documentation and linked where possible. When data is unavailable or uncertain, we say so. We reference independent audits and third-party research.
We disclose relationships
Affiliate links are disclosed at the page level. Sponsored listings carry a "Sponsored" badge that cannot be removed or hidden. No tool receives a better review because it is a sponsor — the badge makes the relationship transparent.
We update regularly
Software pricing, features, and market position change. All reviews include a "last updated" date and are revisited when significant changes occur — pricing changes, new feature launches, acquisitions, or security incidents.
What we cover
Kreemhunt focuses on software categories where people are most likely to be switching or evaluating alternatives — because the market has moved, a tool has been discontinued, pricing has changed, or a new entrant has changed what is possible.
Note-taking apps, wikis, knowledge bases, and writing tools — Notion, Obsidian, and what makes each right for different workflows.
Privacy-focused comparisons of commercial VPNs covering speed, logging policies, jurisdiction, and pricing — NordVPN, Mullvad, ExpressVPN.
UI/UX and visual design tools — Figma, Sketch, Canva — evaluated for collaboration, output quality, and team workflows.
Task management, project coordination, and team productivity tools reviewed for real-world usability and scalability.
Affiliate disclosure
Kreemhunt participates in affiliate and referral programs with some of the tools we review. When you click a "Visit" link and subsequently make a purchase, we may receive a commission. This does not affect the price you pay.
Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial coverage. Tools that have referral programs are not rated more favorably than those that do not. Our ratings, pros/cons lists, and verdicts are based on independent assessment.
Sponsored listings are paid placements where a tool has paid for prominence. They are clearly marked with a "Sponsored" badge. Sponsored tools are vetted for quality before being accepted — we do not accept sponsored listings for tools we would not recommend.
